Gimmick? The Air Conditioning Tune-Up Specials, What They Don’t Want You To Know!
There are some Heating/Cooling, HVAC Companies out there that are advertising “Air Conditioning Tune-Ups” for $89.95.
They actually say that they are “Giving them away”!
Talk about gimmicks!
Using the term “Tune up” would lead most people to believe that their system would run more efficient and save energy after that tune up. The 3 things that enable an AC system to run more efficiently are:
1) Install new (clean) air filter
2) Adjust refrigerant charge if not correct
3) Clean the evaporator and condenser coils with a cleaning solution and wash it down.
Now, in their services “bullet” list; they say they we will “check” the condenser and evaporator coils.
While checking the condenser and evaporator coil is good to do, it is not the same as cleaning them.
Therefore, their advertisement is misleading and will not lead to your system running more efficiently.
Don’t be fooled, inquire about these things prior to making an appointment; or just call a company you can trust, Us.
